Meet The Characters!
Princess Isabelle: "Hi! My name is Isabelle! I am a fourteen year old princess who lives in the Castle of Corantha. I've heard that most girls have always wanted to be a princess or queen, but let me tell you, it's not such a glamorous life! Sure, you have servants who tend to your every need, and the food...is great! My stomach is rumbling right now! And...the dresses. They may look beautiful, but underneath, are tight straps that keep you looking thin, and you can hardly breathe!
Being a princess is hard. You always have to be on your best behavior, and you have to let people help you with things. You can't just go out and do things. My mother makes sure of that! I love her to death, but she's always telling me what and what not to do. Sometimes it gets annoying. But, I'm going to be a queen one day, and I need the training! To be honest, I don't want to be a queen. Too much responsibility. I like riding carefree in the woods on my black Friesian mare, Phoenix, or riding on the back of my big black dragon Minx. I'm a tomboy, and proud of it!"
Peter: "Hello! I'm Peter! At twelve years old, I am always looking for adventure. I love going hunting on my horse Ajax! He and I are such good pals! Isabelle is my sister. We are the best of friends. Sometimes we will have an occasional quarrel, but most of the time, we get along great! Sometimes Isabelle says that I act like an older brother to her. Maybe I do. It's my responsibility to make sure she is safe! We have lots of fun together. My father, King Phillip, always makes sure that I am learning how to be a King. He says that one day, I will rule in his place as the Coranthan King! I'm not sure how I feel about that. Sometimes I am excited, but I would like to stay 12 so that I can play half the day! I hope I will be a good ruler one day. I will always look out for the people's needs!"
Queen Lillith: "I am Peter and Isabelle's mother! I love my children dearly, though sometimes they may think me a bit harsh. I will admit, I have a strong temper. My daughter Isabelle does not like to learn how to be a Queen, and it is often frustrating to teach her things. She does try though, and I am very proud of her. Most days, Peter is with his father, so I don't give him much training, as he needs to learn to be a king from him. I help keep the servants in line, and keep King Phillip from going mad! He works so hard every day. He is an excellent ruler. I am so blessed to have him for a husband. King Phillip and I are both Christians. We believe it is necessary to teach our children to love Jesus. Our son has recently received Jesus as his Savior, and our daughter has just asked Him as well. We are so happy that they will be joining us in Heaven one day!"
King Phillip: "Hi! As most of you know, I am the King of Corantha. I love my family dearly, and do my best to keep them safe and comfortable. My wife, Queen Lillith, is a great help-meet to my busy schedule. She loves our children, and is a great teacher. Peter is learning how to be a King, and is doing great. I know he will one day take over my throne, and I am proud of that. I do my best to show him how to treat the people, and to make the land run smoothly. Unlike some kings, I do not over-exert my power over the people under me. It is my priority to make sure that they are happy and healthy. This is what I strive to teach to my son.
Isabelle, my dear daughter, is extremely close to me. She is a great encouragement to me when I am having a hard day. She is extremely optimistic about everything, and loves adventure. I'm afraid she gets that from me! I am not very happy about the fact that Isabelle now owns a dragon. Dragons are dangerous, and they can never be fully tamed or trusted. I hope that she will listen to our encouragement to put a distance between their friendships before something happens to her."

Calhart: "Hello there! I am the Corantha Castle's gate-guard and General of the army! My job is to train the knights to fight in battle, and teach them how to ride the war-horses. This is a very important job in the castle, and I love it. I get to meet new people every day, and keep the castle out of trouble! The training is hard, but my knights are tough, and they do an exceptional job. When I am on gate-guard duty, I stand above the gate and stop the people who are entering or exiting the castle. I look for anything suspicious before I let them pass. I am pleased to say that no attack has ever happened on my watch! I try to do my best, and give my credit to the Lord. He his my Helper, and my Redeemer. I am a Christian, and try to help others to come to Christ."
Arnan: "Howdy! I am a hundred-and-five year-old man who lives in the woods surrounding the Corantha Castle! Long ago, I lived in another castle, but it was overrun by our enemies, and I ran away. I make frequent visits to King Phillip's castle, and recently had the pleasure of befriending his daughter, Isabelle. She is an extremely smart young lady, but it's my personal opinion that she needs to mature just a little. I'm not sure how to explain this, but The dragon that Isabelle owns, is quite mysterious. I think she should be cautious around her. I like to joke, and am quite active, despite my age. I am also a Christian, and I like to encourage people in their walk with God."
Masten: "I am the Corantha Castle's royal doctor. I have always wanted to work at my occupation, and have studied for years. I am still learning! I love my job, though sometimes it can be difficult. It is extremely interesting though! The King and Queen trust me, and I am grateful to be a part of their lives. Recently, I found out that a dragon still existed. This worries me quite a bit. Dragons are very harmful to people and animals. Many people in times past have been mauled by their sharp talons and fiery breath. We are never safe when they are around. As much as Isabelle likes Minx, her dragon, I hope that she will soon fly away and never return."
Henry: "Hi. I am Henry. I live at the Castle of Corantha. I have an extremely quick temper, and fiery red hair. I moved to the castle a couple of years ago, and have been there ever since. It's a huge place with well trained knights. I don't like most of the people in the castle, and they try to stay away from me. I hate talking, and always will. I am extremely good with a sword. I am also the fastest runner of the Coranthan Knights, second best horseman, Calhart is first. That man. I am the only knight with rubies on my shield, I won the jousting tournament, and the list goes on and on..."
King Lamen: "I am King Lamen. I used to be a friend of King Phillip. That is, until he turned and became a Christian. I hate Christians. I rule the Shamron Castle. I love to plan strategys. It is a hobby of mine. Sometimes I will spend hours thinking up battle plans. My son Dustin and I do not get along. I think he is afraid of me, though I am not sure why. I give him everything he wants! He had better not be questioning on whether or not to become a Christian. There are rumors going around that the people obey me from fear. I take that as a compliment. I own a huge ampitheater where we have gladiator fights. They are most interesting! My creatures are especially vicious and cunning! It makes for a good fight. I live for fighting. I am an expert swordsman and love training with my bodyguards. Many of them have been killed over the past few years at the edge of my sword. I'm not worried! I'm king! And as such, I can do whatever I want."
Dustin: "Hello! I am King Lamen's son. I am fifteen years old. My father is an evil man. I adored him growing up, but as I grew older, I noticed that these Christians, whom he is whole-heartedly against, have something remarkable about their character. They are always kind to others and help other people out. Even their enemies! In the dungeons, where I frequently visit, one of the prisoners led me to the Lord! I can't tell you what a difference this has made in my relationship with my father. He is a very frightening person. If he ever found out that I was a Christian, I am sure he would kill me right on the spot. I try to keep at a distance from him, but I am afraid that my secret will one day get out. I need to escape the castle before that happens. I hope an opportunity presents itself soon."
King Carnan: Hi there! I am a good friend of King Phillip. I am king of the Trevet Castle. It is a smaller fortress, but we are well armed and protected by some of the best knights around. King Phillip led me to the Lord when I was eight, and I have been trusting in Him ever since. We share many things in common, including King Lamen's hatred of us Christian people. I have heard that Lamen is building an army, and it far outnumbers our forces. I can only hope and pray that he will not attack us. But if he does, I will die knowing that I am going to a better place that far exceeds our wildest dreams. I am an older king, but I still have the energy to get things done. Many people have come to my castle looking for wisdom for their various troubles. I help them as well as I can, and pray that I will be able to give them the right answer. I am hoping to soon visit King Phillip at his castle, and we shall have a grand time with his wonderful family. I, too, believe in helping the people under me.
